Kancho Nico Gordeau founded dojo Kamakura with his 2 brothers and is currently 9th dan kyokushinkai karate.
Kancho Nico Gordeau fought several times in the past against Andy Hug, Michael Thompson, Jean Claude van Damme, Dolf Lundgren and others.
He was a member of the dutch team that took part in the World Championship Kyokushinkai in Tokyo with coach Koen Scharrenberg in 1987. Other members of the Dutch team were Eric Constancia, Gerard Gordeau, Peter Smit and Michel Wedel. It was the strongest team ever and Hanshi Nico Gordeau made the fastest knock out whith a left Mawashi Geri whitin 9 seconds.
Kancho Nico Gordeau did not only practice full contact karate but also cage fight and free fights in Japan.
After his fighting career he focuses of being a referee in the Netherlands and abroad.
Due to the close cooperation with Shihan Dave Jonkers (Ashihara karate) and kyokushinkai karate, kyokushin AIKO saw the light and was founded to establish a strong organisation and to build a bridge between all styles of full contact karate. So we can all work together to promote the karate world wide.
